Report of the exhibition of ADC Project Work held on November 8, 2013

An exhibition displaying the garment construction and dyeing and printing projects successfully completed by the ADC students was held on Friday, November 8, 2013 in the ADC lab. These projects were part of the ADC Courses taught by Dr Rachna Mohan

The garment construction projects on display included both special occasion and daily wear garments and consisted of elaborately designed kameezes as well different types of lower garments including patiala salwars.

The dyeing and printing projects exhibited comprised kurtas, dupattas, table cloth, pillow and cushion covers etc. The samples prepared during the Block Printing workshop were also displayed. The special feature of the displayed items was that they were all created by combining both the dyeing and printing techniques. Block printing was done on fabrics dyed using the tie and technique.

The display was specially arranged for recognising the hard work of the students and motivating them to excel in their exams. The exhibition was graced and appreciated by the Acting Principal as well as several faculty members. A number of students also visited the exhibition and praised the project work done by the ADC students.
