Antardvani - 2014 : Successful Participation by BNC

Appreciative CommentsStudents, faculty members and staff of the college enthusiastically participated in the annual cultural festival of the University of Delhi "Antardvani - 2014" held in the the North Campus of the university from 14 to 16 February, 2014. While the students took part in both the competitive and non competitive events, the college stall at the festival showcased the best practices adopted in the teaching of the new four year undergraduate programme and also presented panoramic glimpses of the college activties and facilities. The college also displayed details of the inter disciplinary innovation projects being pursued by the faculty members at the innovation projects pavilion

The college stall attracted a large number of visitors, who were very appreciative of the display as well as the improvements taking place. The architect's model of the new campus received considerable attention and appreciation

In addition, the stall also included a number of posters highlighting innovative teaching methods adopted in the new four year undergraduate programme. A special brochure giving highlights of the significant projects done by the students as also the new teaching methods and the extent of technology use was part of the handouts available at the stall

A 40 page information booklet containing details of the vision, mission, history, progress over the years, courses taught, academic infrastructure, extra curricular activities as well as profiles of all the faculty members was also distributed to the visitors.

Students of the Apparel Design & Construction Course also displayed some of their fashion design project work including dyed and printed scarves, duppatas, cushion covers and dress material. They also availed of this opportunity to design and stitch fabric based bags specially for this occasion, which attracted more visitors. The students learnt from the experience selling these to a large number of appreciative visitors. The proceeds from the sales will go in to the students' welfare fund of the ADC course.

The college stall was also visited by the Chairman of the College Governing Body and other dignitories including the Principal of Lady Shri Ram College, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and the Director of the Delhi University Computer Centre who were all very appreciative of the progress being made by the college and the work being done by the students
