Participation of BNC Students in Gyanodaya V

event-photos 10 students of the College were selected to participate in the educational trip 'Gyanodaya V' organised by the University of Delhi to the State of Meghalaya. The theme of the trip was “Dharohar: The Glory of North East” and it aimed at “exploring the link between culture and biodiversity in the Khasi Hill region of Meghalaya”. The trip was conducted over a period of ten days from December 18 to to 29, 2014.

Mr Mohit Kumar, Asst. Prof., Department of Political Science of the College accompanied the students as mentor. During the trip, students visited Shillong and other places like Smit (which is known as the traditional seat of Khasi), Mawphlang (the sacred forests which are nature’s own museum), Sohra (Cherrapunjee the world wettest place on the earth), Laitkynsew (which is known for its living root bridges and caves), Mawlynoong (cleanest village in India), Umiam Lake (known as Barapani), and Jowai for their project work.
